Jasenka Ostojić

Jasenka Ostojić took degree in conducting and the postgraduate specialization in conducting at The Music Academy in Zagreb.
She is an Associate Professor and the Principal of IIIrd Department of conducting, harp and percussion at the Zagreb University Academy of Music and has been leading the Music Academy Choir since 2000 . Within that period of time the Choir has been cooperated with the Music academy Symphony orchestra and Choir, the Croatian chamber Orchestra and Choir.
She takes place at festivals: International Music Stand in Pula, Croatian Music Days in Zagreb, Varaždin Baroque Evenings, Music biennale in Zagreb, Pasioska heritage, Festival of Zagreb Choirs, Music feasts in Varaždin, Cro patria in Split, Naš kanat je lip in Poreč, International festival of choirs in Rovinj and e.t.c. She performed abroad in Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Great Britain, Macedonia and USA.
She is the prominent conductor of The Zagreb boys’ Choir since 1994. In 2006 she founded the Croatian society Collegium pro arte and choirs Cappella Zinka and later Cappella Odak.
She is the member of the Croatian Music Artists, the Head of Croatian conductors and choir singers' Society also one among organizers of the three International choir music festivals, which were performed in Rovinj in 2007, 2008 and 2009. She is a regular member of juries at regional and state competitions and encounters of orchestra and choirs in Croatia and abroad. She was a lecturer and leader of Seminar on vocal technique and ensemble work at Music Academy in Zagreb, Rijeka, Varaždin, Split, Pula, Rovinj and Opatija. She was a quest-lecturer at the universities in USA, Poland and Austria.
