5th WORLD CHOIR FESTIVAL ON MUSICALS
25 - 26 of April, 2015
The 5th World Choir Festival on Musicals which took place at the Ceremonial Hall of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, on the 25th and 26th of April, was a unique cultural event for the city.
High quality choral and dance groups from Greece and abroad created a spectacle of choreographies, melodies and colours.
The Festival held its Official Opening Ceremony at the Conservatory of the Roman Agora with all the participating choirs flooding with melody the historical value archeological monument - jewel of the city. Both the beginning of the concert and the closing ceremony held on the main stage of the Festival, with performances by the musical group "K’s Blink" and dancers form the dancing school "VISTA" respectively, were also impressive.
The 5th World Choir Festival on Musicals was dedicated to the distinguished conductor and organizer of major International Choral Festivals in Greece, Thrassos Kavouras, whose memory and work were praised by the Artistic director of the Polyphonic Choir of Patras and member of the Artistic Committee of the Festival, Mo Stavros Solomos.
